2012
MAY 2012
Osteopath & director Jacki Milne has a very successful day with members of U3A at Hullbridge. The latest in our free informal talks to local groups.
Our athletes continue to shine! Joshua Olawore wins the Long Jump event at the Essex County Championships and golden girl Hayley McLean takes an unprecedented haul of three gold medals in the 100m, 200m and 400m at the same championships - with not a hurdle in sight! We are all celebrating Hayleys selection to the junior GB team at the prestigious Loughborough event on the 19th & 20th May.
A brilliant start to the month for our sponsored athletes Hayley McLean and Sophie Riches. And both triumphed at the spectacular London 2012 Olympic Stadium. Aged just 17, Hayley was invited to compete at the British Universities and Colleges Championships in the 400m hurdles, the youngest competitor by far. Not only did she win a silver medal - she also achieved a brilliant PB. There was plenty of drama though before the medal ceremony as the following Echo newspaper article explains!
Just a few days later our youngest sponsored athlete Sophie Riches competed at the UK Schools Games at the Olympic Stadium and triumphed in a very competitive field in the 800m. A marvellous achievement for Sophie at the start of the new outdoor season.
APRIL 2012
The final weekend of April brings medals and acclaim to some of our athletes; Hayley McLean achieves a PB on her first outdoor event of the year. Josh Olawore wins silver at the Essex Champs and Sophie Riches wins gold in the 800m and in the 4 x 400m at the National Junior League. Great start to the season guys!

A memoriable OPEN HOUSE at Cedar Hall Thurrock was attended by a large crowd including members of the local community, patients, family & friends on Saturdat 21st April. Athlete Hayley McLean cut the ribbon to officially open the clinic accompanied by fellow athletes Joshua Olawore & Sophie Riches. Footballer and coach of Sophie's Christian Dailly was a welcome special guest.

A milestone for Cedar Hall Clinics with the opening of a new branch in Stanford le Hope. Cedar Hall Clinic Thurrock opens in Kings Parade, Kings St offering a variety of treatments including osteopathy, paediatric & cranial osteopathy, sports injuty therapy, sports massage, chiropody, acupuncture, homeopathy & reflexology.
Some of our sponsored athletes are lucky enough to travel to the sun for a few weeks for warm weather training including Gianni Frankis, Hayley McLean & Georgia Atkins.

MARCH 2012 - Exciting news!! Cedar Hall sponsored athlete Sophie Riches has been chosen to be a London 2012 torch bearer and will run her leg in Rayleigh! Full details to follow.
Cedar Hall is delighted to award a treatment sponsorship to local athlete 20 year old Dale Clutterbuck. A middle distance runner, Dale is a member of Basildon AC and is coached by former Olympian and Commonwealth gold medallist Rob Denmark. In summer of 2011 Dale achieved PB's in 800m, 1500m & 3000m winning the Essex Championships. His long term goal is Olympics 2016 in Rio.
Injury brought an abrupt halt to Gianni Frankis' indoor season - but he has responded well to treatment and is already back in training. Sophie Riches, recovering from injury takes part in the Inter County Championships achieveing a very respectable 15th place.
Work is ongoing at Cedar Hall THURROCK - a sister clinic to Cedar Hall BENFLEET. The new clinic at
13 Kings Parade, Kings St, Stanford le Hope is due to open on Monday 2nd April 2012.
FEBRUARY 2012 - Our sponsored athletes continue to shine.Gianni Frankis sets some new PB's and wins silver at the Aviva Series Indoor Championships & Trials. Hayley McLean wins 4 gold medals, three with championship records at Essex & Eastern Championships. Josh Olawore wins a long jump gold & hurdling silver at the same event.Sophie Riches is selected as a torch bearer for London 2012.
JANUARY ends with great runs from Gianni Frankis, equalling his SB whilst running for team GB in Bratislava and Hayley McLean, a new PB and bronze medal for England in the Celtic Cup.
JANUARY continues well with stunning results on 21st Jan 2012 at Southern Championships for sponsored athletes GIANNI FRANKIS - GOLD and a Championship record; HAYLEY MCLEAN - GOLD in 60m hurdles & SILVER in long jump; JOSHUA OLAWORE - SILVER in his first season at U20 long jump and aged just 16 years; SOPHIE RICHES - SILVER in Inter Girl's Cross Country at Essex Schools Champs.

DECEMBER 2011 - Joshua Olawore wins the U18 individual title at Schools International Pentathlon, Kelvin Hall, Glasgow - leading England to victory!
NOVEMBER 2011 - Talented young athletes Joshua Olawore and Sophie Riches become the final two recipients of the current treatment sponsorships, bringing the total number to five. Cedar Hall is proud to be able to help these athletes to achieve their goals.
Joshua Olawore wins the Young Sports Personality of the Year at the Essex Sports Awards.
OCTOBER 2011 - Olympic prospect for London 2012, Gianni Frankis, is the latest elite athlete to be awarded a Cedar Hall treatment sponsorship. Osteopath & infant massage & yoga specialist Jane Bell joins the Cedar Hall team.
SEPTEMBER 2011 - Hayley Mclean wins the UK School Games title and a silver medal at the YouthCommonwealth Games at 400m hurdles!
Eastwood Olympic journey continues with the opening of the Olympic Mondo track attended by many athletes and local dignatries. Cedar Hall directors are invited as VIP guests and enjoyed a wonderful day.
AUGUST 2011 - Cedar Hall is delighted to begin an association with Eastwood School as they embark on the final stage of an exciting journey to bring an Olympic track to the county. Cedar Hall becomes the first gold sponsor in this epic journey and looks forward to working with an enthusiastic team.
JULY 2011 - A thrilling start to the month when sponsored athlete Georgia Atkins won the 110m hurdles at the English Schools Athletic Championships - the second year running! We wish Georgia luck as she heads off to University - still having the 2016 Olympic Games in her sights!
July brings another triumph to our other sponsored athlete Hayley McLean as she achieves a PB and a new UK record in the semi finals of the 400m hurdles at the World Youth Athletic Championships in France. Hayley powered her way through to the final and is now ranked 4th in the world! Within days of this triumph Hayley McLean is selected for the England team for the Commonwealth Youth Games in September 2011.
JUNE 2011 - Our sponsored athlete Hayley McLean is selected for Team GB in the 400m hurdles at the World Youth Athletic Championships this July in Lille, France. Well done Hayley!
MAY 2011 - Paediatric Osteopath Kristy Hooper joins the Cedar Hall team.
APRIL 2011 - Cedar Hall Directors Sara & Jacki are featured in an Echo newspaper article about their sponsorship of prospective Olympians Georgia Atkins and Hayley McLean.
MARCH 2011 - Cedar Hall Clinic has awarded a treatment sponsorship to champion athlete 16 year old Hayley McLean, currently ranked UK No.1 (Under 17) for 300m Hurdles, 60m Hurdles and the Pentathlon. Osteopath.
FEBRUARY 2011 - Cedar Hall's sponsored young athlete Georgia Atkins is invited to take part in the elite Aviva Trials in Sheffield. In her first senior outing and the youngest competitor in the 100m hurdles, Georgia made the B Final. Well done Georgia!
JANUARY 2011 - Cedar Hall joins forces with England Athletics and awards a full treatment sponsorship to local athlete Georgia Atkins. Rising athletic star Georgia is aged 17 and tipped for the top in 100m hurdles and is the current English School's Senior Champion. She is an Olympic prospect for 2016.
2010
NOVEMBER 2010 - Cedar Hall donates five free treatments each month to the parents, grandparents or guardians of children from Little Havens Hospice.
DECEMBER 2010 - Cedar Hall wins the prestigious Lloyds TSB regional Community award for small businesses, organised by Heart
